Labels submitted to the TTB have revealed Gold Spot Irish Whiskey 135th Anniversary, a limited edition release celebrating the 135th anniversary of the Mitchell familys whiskey bondingtradition.
Matured for at least nine years in Bourbon barrels, Sherry butts, Bordeaux wine casks, and Port pipes, Gold Spot is bottled non-chill-filtered at 51.4% ABV (102.8 proof).
The back label describes Gold Spot Irish Whiskey as having aromas of autumnal berries, apple, pear, stone fruits, wood spices, vanilla, and perfumed wine, with notes of pot still spices, vibrant fruits, delicate oak tannins, and wood spices on the palate, concluding with a finish that is rich and lasting with the wine casks and pot still spiceslingering.
